Conditional and Judgmental

Mark Templer's preaching on the story of father and the two sons was really inspired me. In particular when he challenged whether we are type of person who is conditional and judgmental.

Conditional Love vs Unconditional Love
Unconditional love is a concept that means showing love towards someone regardless of his or her actions or beliefs. It is a concept comparable to true love, a term which is more frequently used to describe love between lovers. By contrast unconditional love is frequently used to describe love between family members, comrades in arms and between others in highly committed relationships. In Christianity, we describe God's love for mankind us uncondiitonal.

Judgmental vs Acceptance
Acceptance, in spirituality, mindfulness, and human psychology, usually refers to the experience of a situation without an intention to change that situation. Acceptance does not require that change is possible or even conceivable, nor does it require that the situation be desired or approved by those accepting it. Indeed, acceptance is often suggested when a situation is both disliked and unchangeable, or when change may be possible only at great cost or risk.

Human being has different kinds of emotional expressions, such as:

Affection Ambivalence Anger Doubt Envy Embarrassment Fear Frustration Guilt Happiness Hate Hope Horror Hostility Homesickness Jealousy Loneliness Love Mirth Rage Regret Remorse Sadness Serenity Shame Sorrow Surprise

WHERE ARE YOU NOW?

Are you in positive (people building or inspiring) emtions or negative (destructive) ones?

Check out Galatians 5: 22-23 and see what are the God-pleasing emotions.
