1 John 1:9
" If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Then what is "confessing our sins"? It is surely not a superficial and hasty confession but continuing our old way of living. It is a total acknowledgement of how our sins hurt God. We must adhor sins for they are separating the intimate relationship between God and us. The inevitable consequence following confession is the brokenness and repentance. What they render us and support us are the forgiveness and the guilt-free life.
God's plan for our growth and freedom includes other Christians. Honest fellowship is the essence and a must to cast off the demons in our hearts. So confession and we pray for each other for the strength to thrive in our spiritual life (James 5:16). I have a wonderful fellowship on Wednesday with Connie. We confess each other and share the authenticity. I am sure that wall between us does break... Our relationship builds. God binds us together. I enjoy and love it.
My QT this morning strikes me: " ... Do you not know that a little leaven leavesn the whole lump of dough?" (1 Corinthians 5:6 ) I must not tolerate even a little bit of evil thinking. My thinking dictates my action and my behaviour. (1 Corinthians 5:10) further reminds myself the "must be" not "should be" attitude towards sins. I need the holy friends to uproot my sinful characters to set free myself absolutely. Please pray for each other!
I have set up a green pasture blog accidentially. Perhaps you may reach "http://greenpasture.blogspot.com" for more and more.
Well Done! Please keep blogging the GOOD NEWS! AMEN!
