Study of ACTS

It's a long time I have not written on this blog. I miss what I did over here.

Taking the opportunity of studying the ACTS together with Roxana and Doris, my most beloved sisters, I want to jot down our convictions here.

Background
Paul is always a good model in his work in spreading the God’s gospel. Roxana, Doris and me want to read Acts together to learn how to be humble and be strong whenever there are testing in our faith. For example: When something happened, what attitude and how Paul handled his disciple life? Through the learning, how we can walk with other sisters in Christ and Paul’s footsteps.

Goals
· Why Paul set such life work?
· What makes his faith so strong?
· How did he handle the testing of faith?
· How did he handle people problem, even among the Christians?
· How did he make his decision in Christ with love?

How to participate in and lead a QT
What did God tell me?
Why, How, What is touching?
Enjoying others’ sharing
Ask question for enriching the conviction
Put QT as a lifestyle

ACTS 1 Findings
The wisdom of timing: 1:7 Jesus said, “ It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; …….” Will our desire to control the timing neglected the blessing of the spirit within us?

1: 21 “Choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us……”

1:14 “They all joined together 同心合意……” The attitude we should uphold in prayers and disciples’ relationship. Praying together without having the heart together is in vain.
