Doris has led her very first official Bible Talk (with guests attended) yesterday. She did a wonderful serving for God and her be loved sisters and friends. She has chosen a topic of "The Money World". She highlighted that today's world that we are living is a world of meansuring by Money. She used this scripture:
1 Timothy 6: 9-10
"People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a most of all kinds of evil. Since people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with money griefs."
Bonnie has raised a question, " How do we measure our desires? A desire for ten thousand is bad or a desire for ten million is bad?"
Doris neatly brought us back to the scripture that "It's not a matter of quantitative amount but whenever you find your very first step to wander from the faith......."
Doris continued, " For example, if you find your desires in career and salary has brought to your lacking care of the family, ruining of your health and etc. you have already fell into the temptation and a trap. Satan is always the one who discerns about your desires, even hidden desires that your deciful heart lies."
What an awesome guideline!
